New bin stores make recycling easier

New bin stores are being installed in conjunction with the courtyard improvement schemes to make recycling easier and address targets set in the Council’s One Planet Strategy.

The new stores are versatile outdoor bin storage solutions that have separate waste capacity for general, recyclable, food waste & glass. The unit itself can accommodate wheeled containers of different dimensions. The doors have a lockable option if required and the roof prevents seagulls from ripping and accessing the rubbish. The panels can be fire rated if necessary to prevent possible arson and reduce fire risk and are located away from buildings. Their design and location within courtyards make them easy and accessible for residents to use and we hope to incorporate these in other courtyard projects throughout the city.
